We as a society really need to stop romanticizing the idea of “needing” romantic partners and “not being able to live without them” because it is incredibly unhealthy and leads people to wind up in unhealthy situations of dependency or feeling dependent and not thinking to change that mindset because it seems romantic

Ex: What happened to you? You used to be so sweet.

Me: Some one broke my heart too many times. (I let someone into my life, trusted them with my heart, made some mistakes, and they got tired of it so we said goodbye with our respective broken hearts in hand.)

Ex: Who is she? I’ll kill that bitch.

Me: Don’t worry about it. (She was you and i still love her. But It’s over now and I’d like to keep the friendship that we still seem to have.)

Ex: If anyone hurts you; I’ll kill them.

Me: you’re silly. (Thank you. It’s good to know you still care about me.)
